World Kindness Day 2018
Lead up to Kindness Day…
How often do you think Kindness should be practiced to become the norm in your everyday life? At ReThink, we believe that kindness should not just be practiced on November 13th but everyday!
That’s why this year we decided to encourage as many people as possible via social media, to cultivate the habit of engaging in acts of kindness under the theme, “Nurturing Kindness.” Inspired by each letter in the word KINDNESS, we began by sharing ways in which we could each add some acts of positivity to help make people’s lives and our own, even more fulfilling.
However, we also really wanted to hear what other people had to say about what kindness means to them. So, ReThink took to the streets to let them tell us the different ways in which they could spread positive energy and make Kindness count. It was truly encouraging to hear what many had to say.
Take a look for yourself below and be inspired!
KINDNESS DAY ROLLS OUT
ReThink joined the world in celebrating World Kindness Day on November 13th ! It’s a day when we reminded each other about how important it is to be kind to everyone, no matter what, because you could never tell what challenges someone may be going through.
For World Kindness Day this year, ReThink partnered with popular doubles vendor, Najim & Sons, better known as “George Doubles,” on Chacon Street in Port of Spain, to freely share this favourite East Indian delicacy with all customers on that day. Despite the morning’s downpours, there was a constant flow of persons at the popular doubles stand, with everyone receiving two free doubles each, as well as ReThink Kindness cards, to bring that extra smile to their faces. They were more than happy and surprised to receive such an act of kindness, which we encouraged them to pass on to others. Kindness is best served when shared!
All it takes is your act of kindness to make a world of a difference in helping to make that person’s day, or their life, a better one.
So we encourage you to do something kind for someone today. It may be a simple word of encouragement and appreciation, a hug, a smile… a simple gift or token of support. A little goes a long way.
If someone shares an act of kindness with you, pass it on! Make Kindness count..
Because Kindness…makes the world go round.
From all of us at ReThink…
